Finding the Right Ostomy Solution
Understanding One-Piece and Two-Piece Systems
Choosing an ostomy system is personal, and different configurations can suit different needs.
With a one-piece system, the pouch and adhesive barrier are combined into one appliance. When it is time for a change, the entire system is removed and replaced.
With a two-piece system, the pouch and barrier are separate components, allowing the pouch to be changed while the barrier may remain in place.
